Fletch: Dawn of the Golden Eagle is a platform game created using Unity 3D. The game features four diverse environments woven together with a strong vein of comedy. Using different 'suits' the player can utilise abilities such as double-jump, combat and stealth to guide Fletch through the levels.
The environments were all modeled in a stylised way to fit the cartoon aesthetic specified in the design. Textures were hand painted and landscapes were created using Unity's terrain editing tool. To populate the world I created props to not only fulfil their specified function but also to inform the player using environmental narrative elements. Some props were animated including the Auric Cannon; a weapon that could transform anything into pure gold!
The game was created at University for my third year project (May 2012 - May 2013). The team consisted of five members including myself: Abdul Ahmad, Dan Donnan, Ali Malik and Iain Walsh
The game is available to download here. In May 2013 the game gained an Honourable Mention at the Salford University Arts and Media awards.
